About The Practice

We treat patients of all ages, from children to seniors. Upon your first visit, we will establish a confidential medical record. Since your past history is important, please bring with you a list of current medications. Also please bring your glasses, even if they are broken or unsatisfactory.

Vision One Laser & Surgery Center

The Vision One Laser & Surgery Center was opened in 1999 in Exton as a regional Center of Excellence for eye surgery. The facility, owned by Dr. Levin, Dr. Luminais and other local ophthalmologists, is a state-of-the-art facility with sterile operating rooms and a comfortable waiting area. More eye surgery is done here than at any hospital or location in Chester County. Specializing in all types of procedures, the center was designed as an alternative to a hospital setting avoiding many unnecessary distractions. At Vision One, you are greeted immediately upon entry and the admissions procedure is streamlined. Family members can wait comfortably at Vision One for the short time needed or visit Exton's many shopping areas. The facility is highly accredited and fully staffed by a warm-hearted, good-natured staff of nurses and health care professionals. A pleasant and surgically successful experience for all patients is their primary focus.

Your Initial Visit

Ophthalmologists Dr. Gary J. Levin, MD, Dr. Steven K. Luminais, MD, Dr. Kenneth E. Morgenstern, MD, and optometrists Dr. Suzanne Smith, OD, and Dr. Robert S. Susan, OD, of Levin & Luminais Eye Associates. Serving Thorndale, Coatesville, Downingtown, West Chester, Malvern, Exton, Honey Brook, Parkesburg, Kennett Square, Paoli and all surrounding areas.Your comprehensive eye exam requires one to two hours. The thorough examination each doctor performs will not only identify if glasses are needed, but more importantly, will determine the health of your eyes by checking for diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, corneal or retinal problems, and any other eye conditions. In addition, systemic conditions may also be detected.

Often we use eye drops in the course of your examination which may blur your reading vision temporarily or make your eyes sensitive to sunlight. Sunglasses may be helpful. If you expect to have a problem driving after dilation, and if that is the case, you may wish to arrange for someone to drive you home. We also offer drops to reverse the dilation process after your exam.
